Looks like another good day on tap at Strawberry and Skyline. Skyline will be the windier of the two with winds in the upper teens/lower 20's in the afternoon. At Strawberry expect mid to high teens with snow squalls in the afternoon. I am seriously tempted to take a dawn patrol trip to check out conditions at Strawberry before work.
PowMow looks like another whiteout day. Monte may be rideable on lighter north winds and some snow squalls in the forecast.
Evanston will have strong wind, not sure about coverage.
Lower elevation riding spots do not look good for wind.
Wedneday promises more of the same. Winds will be more westerly which means more gusty at Strawberry and cleaner at Skyline. Evanston will have strong wind as well.
Okay another editorial, you don't have to read them since the vital information has been covered above.
That Dismissive Look
How many times have you enthusiastically described kiteboarding to an aquaintence and they just give you that look, you know that dismissive look - their eyes shift from side to side, they tilt their head slightly, and their lip curls up in a wry smile. I know that Look all to well. They might as well just say it "You're crazy!, you are going to kill yourself, sane people don't do sports like kiteboarding." I used to try to defend the sport and tell them how much the equipment has improved, how awesome it is to avoid lift lines or clean a boat, but I might as well be saying blah, blah, blah, blah. I have learned that once you get the look, just shut your mouth and walk away. Your not crazy, they don't know what they are missing...
