Where to Ride 2/16 - President's Day - Updated

A very gusty, windy day on tap. Wind is already nuking at PowMow (37 gusting to 40 at 9:30), looks like there may be enough wind to ride Monte Cristo today. I would avoid PowMow. Skyline has not turned on yet, but should have wind in the mid 20's this afternoon and snow squalls.

Strawberry should also blow, you may need to go to Ladders, Cabins or Marina to catch it, but it should blow.

Park City and Rush both look promising with wind in the mid to upper teens. Possible rain/sleet mix this afternoon.

Evanston will be very windy as well.

Tomorrow there is more wind, but a lot of snow in the forecast. Looks like a white room day at the high elevation locations.

Yesterday everyone was at the UDOT field. Drive south from the Home Depot along the frontage road next to US40. You will see a large UDOT Facility. Just south of the facility is an open field. Park along the frontage road, climb over the fence, set up and kite. I hear Richardson has too many bushes right now. Whit G
