Where to Ride 2/17 - Tuesday

Postby Kenny » Mon Feb 16, 2009 10:17 pm

Another great day on tap for Tuesday with mostly SW and West winds.

Strawberry looks like West/Southwest gusty winds in the mid to upper-teens and snow squalls. Powder is primo at Strawberry right now. Visibility may be an issue, so check out the cams before going.

Skyline should be very strong winds and snow may be a limiting factor as well. Expect wind in the mid to upper-twenties - looks like an excellent day for the Reserve. Great Powder snow conditions

PowMow looks like a whiteout.

Park City should be good, but visibility may also be an issue with snow in the forecast. Expect mid to upper-teens.

Rush will be rideable with wind in mid-teens switching from SW to NW. Evanston will be rideable as well with wind in the upper teens.

Wednesday is looking like a classic WNW wind day at Strawberry and Skyline - expect mid to upper-teens and excellent powder. PowMow may also be good on West winds and very deep powder. Park City may give up some rides, but the wind will be lighter probably low to mid-teens.

The powder at Strawberry is indeed primo! It was knee deep near the road on Sunday.

One can only imagine what it would be like a few hundred yards off the road! 8)
