6/29 Craig's Where to get Spanked

A strong front, a tight gradient, dry air, you don't need me to tell you it's going to blow really
hard today. Grants this AM looks like 5.5, but I expect that to ramp up and get really gusty
by about 11 AM in the 4.5 range. DC up early around 11 AM with strong gusty winds in the 5.5/10M range, and maybe unridable by 2 or 3 PM with gusts from hell.
Jordanelle similar to DC, but the gusts will be mitigated somewhat.
Sulfur 4.7 and gusty PM. Willard 5/10M mid morning maybe getting to 4/8
in the early afternoon. Mona and Yuba 5/10 mid morning through most of the day.
Rush will rock with a 6/12M AM and then 3.7/7M conditions in the afternoon and
some really strong gusts. All the UL launches will pump 5/10M conditions from mid
morning until early evening. Be aware that somewhat tame winds in the AM will rapidly
spike around Noon at almost all the locations which might send you running for cover
(or the smallest gear you have) then a very slow trail off to more moderate conditions by dusk. When you feel the hot blast, be prepared to do what you need to stay safe. There is also
the chance for an errant T-head out there which you'll want to keep an eye on if it's in your
vicinity.

Tomorrow residual 7/14M North winds at Rush PM will seem tame and pleasant, and Lincoln
beach should have similar conditions by late afternoon. Sulfur with steadier 6M winds PM

Friday looks like a good day to recover with no planable wind in sight.

Craig, i am a newbie from park city that just signed on yesterday but you seem to be the man when it comes to weather. i will have to load your phone app and later try to break the code on how you do it. quick question--you mentioned jordanelle but i have not seen riders on the lake. is there a good launch site and is best with a N or S wind? thanks. rick

Are you a kiter or windsurfer?
