Christmas Eve - Where to Ride

Postby Kenny » Sat Dec 24, 2011 9:36 am

Well, I blew the forecast yesterday, Skyline had much better wind than I expected. Yesterday, the upper winds were strong. Today, they look weaker and we have high pressure building over the area, so I expect the wind to be much lighter. I am going with a Badger forecast of NE wind around 10, but it could crack low-teens. Keep your eye on the Skyline meter if you want to go today. The snow at the launch is hardpack, but there is windblown powder to be found. Skies will be sunny, so if you go pack some snowshoes or cross-country skis and tour around if the wind is too light.

Christmas Day is not looking good for wind. I doubt I will post tomorrow. Have a Merry Christmas!

Monday is promising light wind in the low to mid-teens.

Looks like some moisture may come our way later in the week. Keep your fingers crossed.

Thanks Kenny. Merry Christmas to you. Thanks for the work on the forecasts. I'm heading up to take my chances with the badger!
