Not a lot of wind out there today (and even less snow). PowMow looks like the best bet, but still on the very light side (around 10). However, I don't know what the deal is with the mesonet site for PowMow. It only shows the gust windspeed with no direction or average speed, I found that meter to be a far better indicator of what is going on than the point forecast. A big thanks to everyone that scouted out the local locations and reported back. I would not bother heading to Lake Creek or Skyline today if your intention is to kite. You might get lucky, but you are more likely to get skunked. However, if you are jonesing to go, we would all love a snow report.

Tuesday promises low-teens at PowMow.

Wednesday promises low to mid-teens PowMow and low-teens at Skyline. Might be a good day to try Lake Creek again with a 4 x 4, winch, and a chainsaw.

Be careful out there and take your rock skis.
