2/7 Kenny's Where to Ride

Summary: a strong storm is approaching the region. Today, we have postfrontal south winds that will become stronger and more gusty as the day progresses. Friday - Sunday is promising heavy snowfall.

Looks like a decent south wind day today with sunshine. PowMow is looking very strong, maybe too strong during the afternoon hours, could be a good Monte day, just check the PM meter for winds 25+ before you go. Skyline should have wind in the mid-teens. The great thing about a south wind at Skyline is that it opens up terrain that is usually in a wind shadow. Strawberry might give up some rides at the marina and/or ladders. Expect it to be light, intermittent, and flukey. It may blow all afternoon or not at all or somewhere in between.

Friday is looking like a snow day at all of the mountain locations. Strawberry may be the exception with light SE winds and still plenty of snow showers. You probably can get rides at Rush or PC, but even at those locations the visibility may be too poor to kite.

Saturday is shaping up to be another snow day.
