You can read the forecast, but the bottom line is that conditions look very poor for snowkiting the next few days. Yes, there will be wind, but it will gusty, funky, and downright awful at times. Surface conditions have degraded.
It will be windy at Skyline today, but the wind will be super gusty and strong with snow squalls. Coverage is poor, so I would deem it a desperation kiting day, wind quality, visibility, and surface conditions will be well below par. If you go take a small kite as wind will increase as the day progresses into the mid-twenties. I would do something else today.
The big news for Thursday is crazy East wind. Thursday is promising super nuclear northeast winds. The interesting thing about the NE direction is that Skyline is usually dead from that direction. However, the flow looks so strong that it should be extremely windy at Skyline. However, I suspect that the wind quality will be poor at best and probably dangerous and hateful. It may be the strongest wind day at Skyline this year, possibly this decade. Let's hope the snow does not all blow away. Another day to do something else.
Friday is looking iffy for wind.
