3/16 Craig's Where to Ride

You don't need a forecaster to know there'll be wind the next couple of days.
This AM Grantsville will be pretty solid. It's already up out there, and will probably
linger in the 5.5 sail range until about 1 or 2 PM. I think Rush will be a little atypical
today showing it's best winds between 11 and 3 (that's usually when it gets gusty and light).
Look for 6/12M conditions out there with a dip down to 5/11 mid day, and
probably degrading to gusty holey by early evening. DC will be up around 11 AM in the
6/12M range if you can avoid the ice chunks. Air temps get close to 70 degrees, but
lean toward the earlier sesh because there will be more sunshine. It looks cloudy with
a chance for rain showers later.

Tomorrow, Honk'n winds at Grantsville in the 4.2 range AM. Rush will have steadier
5.5/11 AM and then kick in with gustier 4/8M winds PM. Willard will have similar
winds to rush though probably not quite as strong. Mona will get 6.5/13 AM and then
5.5/10 PM. Ul South launches like Lincoln should get some gusty 12M South conditions
early afternoon until dusk, and MM 19 will get 5M conditions at similar times. Be prepared
for a potential drencher as the rain sweeps through.

Sunday, cold and rainy, with some leftover South winds at Grantsville AM.

Willard has been in the 20s a good part of the morning. Wish I could go!

I got curious about water temps at utah lake today becausae of Craig's forecast so i made some stops by lindon and lincoln beach to drop in my thermometer. I don't even know if this information helps, or if there's a better place to get it, but again i was curious and thought i'd post my findings for anyone who cared. I tested the surface temp. at lindon and got 55.6, then i drove down to lincoln and dropped it in at the dock and tested surface temp at 22.5 and 30" down and got 51.2. Its pretty cold still i guess, but not as cold as i would've guessed. I'm seriously debating on riding lindon tomorrow if the forecast proves true.
