Who needs to go to EXOTIC 8) locations to find wind. We had it all today 8-30+. Plus rain and MUD. Well, maybe EXOTIC does have some merit, but don't knock the local wind scene, at least for kiting. So far this water season I've used most of the kites in my redunda-abunda quiver. and yesterday was no exception. Started out big and ended small. Those who stayed big went BIG on 17 M's, Jeff, Ryan, Jake are the big fish in our little pond. Bows may be the answer to the ? of what to rig, a two kite quiver could be possible, at least for 90% of the wind we see. A 9 M for the windy days a 12M for the moderate ones and a possibly BIG 'C' kite 18-20 for those Utah Lake, North thermals, gotta get it days. Rider wt. and board size will, of course, alter the equation. Ask Marty, about BOWS, and then I'll get you one. Most everyone was there, plus lots of new and newbie faces. Good group, lots of smiles, everyone had a good time.
