DC twilight cruise, 19 April

Having read Craig's forecast, I figured that yesterday would be much better for bike riding than sailing. On my way back from a late afternoon ride, however, I noticed that I was fighting a fairly significant head wind. Got to Island Beach about 6; not exactly nuking, but got about an hour (6:30-7:30) of mostly planing conditions on my biggest gear (F155/8.5). Air temp: 48F, water temp 52F.

Hey Jim. Thanks for taking the time to post your wind graphics. 52 degree water temp is within my threshold I think (drysuit, I'm a woosie) It might be time for me to buy a 9.5 and a formula board.
