Last day of the season at Pow Mow. Still lots of snow coverage. Winds were about 20mph WSW most of the day. I arrived at 11 and kited till about 1:30 when I packed it up to join the parking lot party. When I got to the bottom of Hidden Lake lift it was shut down and no one was around. I tried to find a phone to call someone but the lift terminal was locked. I figured they must have closed early so I wrapped my leash around my ski's and started walking to the top. It took about an hour to reach the top. I asked when the lifts closed and I was told they shut down at 1. Apparently they closed to the public on Saturday and Sunday was the employee party. I guess I didn't get the memo and the Ski Utah site just said that the 15th was their last day with no notice of early lift shutdown. It would have been a lot easier to walk out from the kiteski area than the bottom of the lift. I guess I can cross that off of my bucket list.
