DC BWB 3-PEAT

Postby AndyBlunt » Mon Aug 06, 2012 8:22 am

Thought I'd post that though it was with varying degrees of wind quality DC gave it up Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday (yesterday).

Firday was light, big kite and I guess technically we kited but within 30 minutes of being on the water the wind shifted pretty much 100% west and got really really gusty so we came off the water. Alex and I ran down to Lincoln beach and got about an hour and a half on his air rush and my race board.

Saturday was good but light. Still there was a fun group out.

Yesterday was by far the best day of the three. I think it was about 1:30 when I got on the water. It was really light so I went with the 32 meter lines and race board and a 16 m kite. Alex came out on his air rush board and his 13. Not sure how he makes that work in such light wind but he jams. Eventually it came up enough for twin tip and Alex, Mike Andrew and I got it for another hour or so until Chris "P" Shrewin showed up and finished up the session. It finally backed off about 5:00. All in I was on the water for about 3 to 3.5 hours. Kept my shorts ont he whole time too..... :oo
