Arrived around 1 to see a few downed kites at Strawberry and one in the air (by a newbie no less). Jody B was there and told me the wind was very up and down. The wind was canted to the SW, so I drove to the Marina, but it was a whiteout. I drove to Coop and setup. Rode downwind to the gliding hill and managed to drop into a small creek on my way. I dipped one end of my board in the water. Fortunately, I had my Alta gold pass in my coat pocket and I used it to scrape off the ice. The snow was creamy in places and heavy in others. Did a few glides and then rode over to Jake's Hill. It was fun with deep fluff at the bottom and enough power to zip up the hill. It was a good day, but even my 179 3B Board felt small considering how much float was needed.
