2/15 Chicken Creek

Was lit on the 15 Manta and probably should have rigged down. I figured it would back off and never did. It was fun to get a good day at Strawberry, had fun tearing up the cornices, turning and jumping off. Rode across the resivour towards the marina and found some big slushy spots that had me a bit nervous. Probably just slush on top of ice though I did not want to stop and find out. Great day untill I started following Sal toward the sand pit to look for some terrain to play on. The coverage was bad and found myself riding over bushes. I dropped back towards CC and just as I come over a small hill at the edge of the ice I saw a bunch of rocks. I powered up to try and bunny hop over them and at that instant I was stopped dead by a loop of barbed wire that one ski went through. Jacked up my foot and a muscle in my other leg. I hope it heals up by Sunday so I can get back out. Here is a link to some pictures I took , one shows the wire that took me out.
