Gorge Update

Postby bob allen » Wed Jun 12, 2013 10:47 am

It's been a very windy June in the Gorge. Water levels are more like Summer than Spring with big sand bars at the mouth of the Hood and White Salmon. The Coast has been going off as well. A big week of windsurfing in the corridor with plenty of 4.2 and 3.7 sessions. Yesterday I kited Rufus on a 5M. Nice big rollers and nuking blasts of wind. Water temperature is low sixties, still a bit cold on the feet and hands but not a big deal. Lots of wind in the forecast although not as clean as a series of low pressures are setting up. All in all its good in the Hood.

Thanks for the update Bob. Sounds like the sandbar is already in good shape. Keep us posted.
