9-26 SSB Dangerkite

Andrew, AKA AC, AKA shaggy and I rolled down to south sandy arriving about 4. Its blowing 12 to 14 meter with frigid, cloudy and rainy skies. He looks at me and says he only has a 17 (damn you UPS. HURRY UP WITH THAT 10 HE ORDERED!) so I loan him my 12 and I go with 10. It was gusty and cold. Boots, gloves and Hood required. Still the occasional gust provided muchboosts . Then the rain rolled through. I thought I saw a frog or locust or two falling as well. It was gusty, punchy and switching directions and downright nasty and....AWESOME! U tell yourself "what am I doing out here?" Then you pass AC and he gives you a giant grin and a "whoot whoot!" And you give one in kind. You make it back to the not so dry rain soaked muddy beach shiver until you can Peel off the rubber and get your dry clothes on roll up your poor wet dirty kite high five shaggy and head home cold wet and smiling the whole time.

Brad I hope the late evening session worked out!

Jake I hope the inside of your warm dry car worked out. ;-) haha! had to brother... Had to!

Thanks again for hooking me up Andy. First time flying North kites, loved it! Crazy experience in the pouring rain.
