Beautiful fall day w baby caps happening at Island Beach. Wind is steady but light as I head out on the 7.0 about 2:30. Hoping it builds to a full-on kind of day, but no such luck. Wind drops off over the next few hours. Blown pivot jibe lands me on the board. As I go to get up, I can't move off the board. Of course, I'm hook-in, to the board. No luck pulling the hook cleanly out of the board. As I'm pinned to the board, can't remove the harness from my body. This is weird! So floating downwind hooked to the board, thinking this is going to be interesting. So adding more muscle, the hook comes out with a chunk of the board. End of day!
