Ken O. and I travelled to Mona... arrived about 11:30. Sailed really wound up on 5.8/6.0 for an hour plus, great rides, nice "brown" waves, fully powered jibes, and a great reach... then rigged down to the 5.2's. Got a couple of good reaches and then the wind died... almost had to swim in. After about 30 minutes... dust, big wind, rain, black clouds, etc... came in and we de-rigged to save our gear. Waited around for awhile, could have gone back out, but would have had to make a decision between a 3.7 or a 7.0... needless to say... gusty!!! But overall, worth the drive, a wild day at Mona! Hopefully we can squeeze out a few more before winter settles in.
