Well, there was wind and the snow has firm up. That's about as good of a news. The wind was a total junk show, gusting from 10 to 40+ mph in a matter of minutes from 2 to 5. With the firm snow base, it takes the wax out of your board and skis. It also takes the fun out. It was the scariest wind condition I've seen in the high country. I think if the snow is softer, it might be more fun. But then the gusts will certainly made it a whiteout. It was painful at times just to be hit by the snow drifts. Pete, Jim and couple others came down from the view area when the wind was getting good. Charles, Jim Holland and I had a blast (literally) for an hour or so after Pete ad Jim left. Let's pray for more soft snow!!!!!
