7/25/14 - Sulphur Creek - 5.8 full on.

Well, since the weekend forecast did not look so good I figured I'd better take my Friday afternoon off and trade. Good call. I arrived at Sulphur @ 1:40 and it was already blowing quite hard. I almost rigged both my 5.8 and 4.7 and I should have as my 5.8 got me some white knucle rides. Very warm water. I probably could have gone shorty or less.
Josh shortly followed in on his 5.6 and he was in great form! I saw him land a airjibe just in my face while almost doing a perfect ducktack on the way back in a few seconds later. Duck tacks on a shortboard no matter how old school are still what differentiate boys from men ;) Minutes later he landed his first spock. One day before his Bday. That had to be. We were then joined by X and Y, that nice couple from park City if I recall right, whose name I keep forgetting. Sorry. I think they were mighty pleased too by the conditions. When I left around 5;30 it was still blowing a solid 5.5.

Great day.

Layne and Cindy were the other windsurfers.
Always good to sail with those two.

Teaching beginner lessons and attending ABK clinics are starting to pay off.
In reality front loops are what sets apart the boys and men.
I keep getting told that only 100 attempts and I will have the loop - but it is the first 10 that scare the hell out of me.

Pray for more wind!
Whatever thou art, do well thy part.
