Cloudy/sunny blustery day; prospects for a decent session did not look good. But it was blowing, and by 2, I just had to check it out. Glad I did; very decent session. Gusty (as always) but the gusts came on smoothly and there was some wind in between (as opposed to the all-or-none conditions one encounters all too often at DC). Could have used a bit more sail much of the time, but the 6 was very nice in the biggest gusts.

A couple of kites appeared upwind at about 4.
