8/21 Grants Good Times

One of the better mornings in a long time with a big turn out. The pond was full of windsurfers sweet! Very powered on the 5.6 from 8 to 10. Water is still warm but the level is dropping :(

And at DC as well (although it didn't start very well). When I arrive at DC (about 11:45) the wind look promising, promising enough that I elected to go with a 6.0 and 96L board. By the time I got on the water, however, I was confronted by huge holes punctuated by sudden violent gusts - basically un-sailable conditions. Frustrating!!! I was on the verge of bailing when Judy and George arrived at about 12:30, and the wind miraculously filled in, providing about 2 hours of mostly planing conditions.
