DC will strangely be up this AM with more 8/16M conditions until about 1. If you're an AM guy and
can tolerate a lot of cold this is your day, but I suspect a massive die-off around 1 so try not to be on the
other side with your Kite when it happens.


And indeed the rare early morning session did occur, peaking a little after 7 and fizzling out completely by 8. As far as I'm aware, nobody took advantage of it. Fortunately (and surprisingly) the wind returned and was gusting to 20 by noon. Fairly steady early on but became progressively gustier. The water level continues to rise slowly.
