On the water about 1:30 and went from a brisk schlog to insanely overpowered in the 45 to 50 mph gusts. I've only seen a few days more bipolar than today. I only sailed for about an hour and got some really white knuckle rides before deciding it was more important to miss the gridlock at the point of the mountain than to further frustrated my wind thirst.

The wind first appeared about 10. I got on the water at IB just before 11 and staggered in about an hour and a half later after getting my arms stretched by my 7.0. Sharing in the fun were Judy (5.5) and George (7.5). As Judy and I were leaving, Dave was launching and George was rigging a smaller sail.
