Wow, NOAA predicting max for Airport and Tooele of 14 mph and here Grants was into the 30’s. Average wind during the sesh was 28g32, perfect 4.7, but the peak was 32g35, well beyond the 4.7, 86L combo. I lasted 20 minutes at 1st on 5.2 then another half hour on 4.7 before I got blown off the water. After going 2.5 hours yesterday before falling, I was blown off the board 5 times in 1st half hour today. The water at the dike had very tall, close spaced waves and extreme gusts. Darn near hit the dike twice (wound up sitting on it the 2nd time by the time I crash-stopped). Needed my 4.2 and 75L board but I didn’t bring either based on the forecast. By 10:30 it started backing off and I got a nice sesh on the 4.7 then a nice sesh on the 5.2. When it hit 6.0 conditions (12:40) I bailed. Wild day.

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.
