Despite everyone forecasting North wind, when the leaves started to rustle about 5 AM, the breeze was coming from the SW. By 1 things were starting to look promising. Seemed a bit marginal when I arrived at the beach, and I initially planned to rig my 8.5. Glad I didn't! Conditions turned out to be ideal for a 7.0. Water temp: 53F. Air temp 51, but didn't feel that cold due, I guess, to the fact that it was fairly sunny.
