Craig, we need you! With the weather as hot as it's been lately, I wasn't expecting much in the way of wind over DC, and earlier in the week there was very little. But about 2 PM I heard the windchimes starting to tinkle. The wind at the beach wasn't terribly strong but seemed pretty steady. Big sail/big board combo yielded numerous planers from 3 till about 4. At that point, the sky the the south got very dark and the wind pretty much went away - until all hell broke loose from the southeast.
