Awesome afternoon at Island Beach :)) . Wind started about 2 pm, but some kiters were out at DCBB before then. Judy (6 ish) and I (7.0) rode until about 4:30 when it backed off. Looking at the wimpy Deer Creek Dam numbers, it's hard to understand how we were getting fully powered rides on the 6 and 7.

Wish I could have joined you. What happened late in the afternoon, a thunderstorm?

Jim, perfectly warm and sunny. No storm. Guess the wind needed a rest!

That spike at about 2:15 was a little scary down at BB. I was glad to be on the beach at the water's edge when that gust came through to help out. Two out on 17m and one on 14m when that 30+mph surge came through. Reminded me that anything can happen and that you never own it.

It all worked out fine and a good time was had by all afterward.
