Pistol River Wave Bash - Report

Postby Josh Shirley » Fri Jun 15, 2012 11:52 am

The first day of the event was pretty windy. Most everyone on small 4's.

The conditions look good for the next 3 days.

Here are some of my photos:

Day 2 Report

More wind and waves.
Watched Graham Ezzy come off the water missing his front teeth.
These guys are pushing it.

I didn't take any photos today as I spent my time in the water.
After spending time at Grantsville the Oregon coast water feels decently warm.
So this is the first time I have sailed in waves, and yes I got wrecked and washed.
I felt like the biggest kook on the water, but I made some progress and actually caught a few waves.

There should be enough wind to keep the competition up for another couple days.
Also Sunday's forecast for waves is really good. like 8 to 10 feet. So hopefully the pro finals will happen in those conditions.

Looks like another beautiful day. Time for more wind and waves.

Josh
