6/30-7/7 Gorge

Nice week in Orgegon, kited/camped the first 3 days at Rufus, then headed for Manzanita on the coast. I went there a day early and got skunked on a day I could have kited in the gorge, but then was treated to 3 days of low 20's wind with shoulder-head high waves. Water at the coast was much warmer than normal, as they had SW winds for the previous month. No booties. Back to the gorge on the last day for a downwinder from Viento to the event site. Had the 15m out once for 15 minutes and quickly got overpowered. Everything else on the 10m, though I could have used the 7m for 1 or 2 sessions. Rode the surfboard a lot, progressed with jibes out in the surf. Kited with Todd, John G. and Billy at various times.
