Sunday sailing just did not want to happen. We waited for wind, watched Craig rig his new/used 9.5 Retro then finally saw some wind coming down the lake, and waited to see if it would get stronger. We finally decided that we better get some rides on the 9.0's . Myself, Linda and Steve gave it a go. Sure enough as I worked my way up wind I noticed that the chop was gettting a lot bigger and the wind was picking up. I got a work out in a hurry, and a bit more practice at going deep down wind and saying holey crap (it was Sunday after all) Any way we all made it back in. I was trying to catch my breath and get my gear out of the water. It's tough with that big gear, finally made it and was worn out, and no time to re-rig.
Jim H. was getting rides at that point on his 7 something and screamer. Craig was rigging his 6.5 and got rides too.
Monday at DC SBB arrived about 4pm, saw some wind coming over the dam and decided to get some rides since I was there. Got some pleasant and very smooth rides almost up to the dam then decided to head back, straight down wind at about 1 mph as the wind was backing way off. Very mellow and relaxing rides, in some great scenery, then we headed for home. No rangers to be seen any where. Several trucks parked right at the waters edge fishing. Nice to have the water so close to rigging.
