When I arrived the wind was blowing good. From what I have rode so far this year I would have thought to rig small. Watched others put up 17m kites and decided to go with the 15m. It was a struggle to ride with alot of drag. I think it was more of a wax issue than not enough wind or deep powder. I will put some cold weather wax on and see if it makes a difference. I had been riding Utah lake on ice the day before and I think it stripped off any wax I had. I was able to ride twice as fast with a 9.5m kite with much less wind on UL. I did try some rub on all weather wax and it did not help much.
