It was really good.
Lots of kiters there will attest to the goodness of the day.
I don't know about you but I really like Chicken Creek so much more that Strawbs River.
So much more terrain to track up I guess.

It was a REALLY good day. Took the 12M kite out and was plenty powered from noon until 4:00. Probably about 10 kiters out. I agree with Marty on the terrian factor. I think it just keeps getting better the further east you go until just before the cabins. Unfortunately the further east you go the more hills there are and the hilltops need more coverage (especially at the view area). Even Jakes hill at Chicken Creek today had a lot of scrub showing up top . . of course that didn't keep everyone from hucking off it. The snow was surprisingly good down lower with only a few crusty areas here and there. Did notice that tracks on the lake were getting filled with water. Kindof lame that we have to deal with that in Feb of all months (seems the norm in april/may). It was snowing up there a lot of the day but not really enough to stack up. We need some big snow-dropping storms to roll through so the best areas will open up. Keep your fingers crossed peeps!!
