I saw a lot of peeps at the River as I was driving up. It was too crowded for my taste. So, I drove further south and checked out CC East. The wind seemed gusty and there were a lot of ice fishermen. So, I was going to join the crowd. But I saw there was not a single soul at Coop and I actually never kited there! The terrain looks like a nice place for freeriding. So, I pumped a 9 meter and thought that with skis, I can do fine. The snow was so soft, my skis kept digging it. After about 30 minutes, I had enough and headed to the River. The wind was dying down at the River around 2. So, I headed back to CC East. No more ice fishermen and I had the place to myself for couple of hours. The snow on the frozen lake is ride-able. At least you won't dig in that deep. Other spots require big board/skis.

I hope the low temperature tonight and a little bite of snow will help. :)
