Grantsville Reservoir - Open for business... Just like ol' times... Ken O. and I sailed from about 8:30 to noon, started on a 6.5/7.0 then rigged down to 5.8m 85L boards. Nice consistent wind which stayed later in the morning than normal. During the peak time, could have easily been on a 5.0m. Nice morning to kick off the year. Water a little chilly. Wish the arms and legs were in a little better shape. Water level very low for spring. To help keep the water level up, Ken and I are going to bring a couple of gallons of water with us for the next several months to dump in the pond... we suggest everyone else who sails there do the same.

I have waited all winter to try out my new 86L iSonic and it was worth it. What a sweet, very fast ride. After all I have been through with Penny this year it was great to get out and blow out the cobwebs. And did we say the water is frigid. Wow! But trying to keep up with John kept the blood pumping.

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.

I have been waiting for this report because I knew when the ice was off you guys wouldn't be far behind. Thanks for the report. I hope to attend a Board Meeting out there before the end of April.
