5/9 UL Pelican Point 7.5m 109 / 145 liters

Ken made it to the lake early (10:00ish) rigged a 5.7/85 liters, got one ride just as it backed off... I arrived about 12:00 rigged a 7.5, Ken rigged a 6.9 and an 8.5, and as luck would have it, wind came back somewhat for a fairly nice afternoon on the big stuff. Although there were a number of "lulls and holes", we got some great rides on 7.5/8/5.... (with alot of help from 135/145 liter boards). With the reeds becoming a big problem, I tried a weed fin on a 109 liter board, worked ok... however went back to the 145 liter board although every other reach you would have to clear a reed (or two or three). Hopefully reed season is winding down. Tom, Eric and ? joined in a the fun for awhile, wind seemed to die off around 5:00.
