The POE Willard meter was showing kitable winds at sunrise.
Vern was first on the water by 9:30 for the smoothest wind and swell of the day.
As the day progressed, the winds got gustier and the swell less organized.
Jake was the only southerner to show up.
By 2:30 everyone had their fill and we left with the wind still blowing.
Huge beach, safer launching now.

I showed up around 4 and had about 3 hours of (up and down) 10m wind, Lynn on the 7m. One other kiter there on a Kahoona when I arrived, and one other person was there briefly on a LF. My first trip to Willard this year. That's the lowest I've ever seen it. as Marty said, a huge beach for Willard. I luckily got off the water around 7:15 or they might have been scraping me off of I-15. A huge 3 minute blast came thru while i was packing up. Checked on the meter to find this:
Time Speed Gust Direction
20:00 35 58 W
19:50 18 21 SW
19:40 22 39 S
19:30 28 58 S
19:20 20 25 S
19:10 22 33 SSW
19:00 23 30 S
