I sailed Grantsville the last 17 times and it seemed like time for a change. It was 56 degrees when I got there and 55 when I left but it never seemed cold; definitely already fall conditions. Still, I was never cold; it makes a difference when I can’t see John sitting on a snowbank on shore (it helps that the water is still relatively warm). On the water at 1:30 to normal Sulfur rip and schlog conditions. By 3:00 it was filled in, and 4:00 to 5:00 it was as sweet as it gets, shore to shore screaming reaches. Just like Monday at Grants, I ran out of body before the wind ran out. It hurt to pack up with a lake still full of whitecaps. Not sure how I will feel when I get back to Grant's short reach.
