Well we got to the water as Eric was heading out on his 4.7. I had started pulling out 4.2 gear. But Eric came right back in and said he was rigging his 3.7, so I did the same. Ken said he was kind of tired since he had already been sailing many hours. But the next thing I knew he was rigging a smaller sail too.. (Ken you are amazing! Now that is max time on the water).

As for me, the first time out each season on the 3.5 gets me a bit nervous. The swell didn't look that big....Until I was down at water level, trying to get out. Harness lines wrong, boom height wrong, big swell, plenty of wind, and pretty cold. After I got everything adjusted, I started having a pretty good time. It was some of the biggest swell that I've been in, on Utah Lake. It let's you know in a hurry, that you could be in better sailing shape. I don't think I was out even 2 hours, but I was pooped. It was hard to carry the gear out in that kind of wind, and then after resting I didn't think that I could do it again, so I called it a, Wow what a day. I'd like to do that again.
