Sat 5/31 Island Beach 7.5

Postby John Dubock » Sat May 31, 2014 6:25 pm

Started ok at 11am, went fluky early, hard to make it across and back. Judy was ripping, Jim, Steve Nyhus, Rob Smith and a couple guys who drove to Willard too late, did the duelie. Backed off by 3, went East, then the clouds messed with the wind enough to call it a day. Water level is fine, temps feel like bathwater. Went to J Bay at 4 and Julian on a C 151 w/ 8.5 sail was having a great time, the wind line from the front/clouds made the wind appear better there late than Deer Creek.

Water temp is about 65F; I like my bath water a bit warmer than that!
After the windsurfers left, the wind got really wild, with gusts as high as 38 mph.
