Strawberry/Ladders 6/14, medium-small

Went to Ladders a 12:30pm hoping to put the 17m up, but clocked a persistent WSW to W @ 17-22mph, highs to 27mph, and not much of anything below 15mph. Sunny with white puffy stratocumulus clouds; bit cool; and nothing but white caps. I might have gotten by on my 14m depowered on a small (136cm) board; but 14 is broke and no small board. Back at the cabin now, waiting for England vs. Italy, and if it dies off later for a run with the 17m; but not likely. It usually just builds into the evening on days like today. Sunday may be a big kite (14-17m) day with SWs @ 18mph forecast, sunny and high near 70...
