7/21 G'ville wall of wind. 6.1, Sumo 125

As we arrived at 8:00, Emmanuel was just ready to drive away, having already sailed 1.5 hours on his 5.8. Excellent start to the day. Sailed two hours fully wound on my 6.1 until about 10:15, the usual lightening time.
Great fun as I was rigging, watching John F. blazing a trail through the blinding, sparkly sun reflection, superwound on his 6.5 and 85 liter board. (how does he do that?). Josh, Duane K. and we followed not long after. Super consistent wind, G'ville at its best. I could easily have been on a 5.7 or smaller even - Josh was on his 5.2 - although the 6.1 was ideal for the last hour when it dropped just a bit and I could relax a tad. J got some good rides on her 4.2 in the strong conditions. A nice surprise was getting to sail with Wayne Johnson again. Shades of Rush Lake!

Killer day, as steady and solid as it gets out there.

P.S. - Sunday was a bust, no wind after 8:30 or so, although a few early birds got some rides.
