arrived at 9:30am to see southwick rigging his 6.0. Quickly rigged my 5.7 and my carve 131 and hit the water planning. After a few reaches, realized that it was blowing harder than 5.7 but hung on for another 15-20 minutes before going in to tighten the 5.7 down all the way!!! Evidently, passed all the way, since after another 1.5 hours way over powered, the mast broke about 2 feet from the top. Made it in ok but had to rerig on a 400 mast with long base. by then, Southwick had rerigged a 5.2, but the wind was starting to get really holy so I decided to call it. Outstanding session!!!!
