Surprisingly good day at DC. When John Dubock called at noon, there was barely a hint of wind, but by 1 the gusts were hitting 20, and the lake was solid whitecaps. Remarkably few cars in the parking lot and not all that many boats on the lake. Debated rigging a 7, but opted for a 6 instead. Glad I did; a 5 would probably have worked just fine. Unusually steady wind and not too much boat chop, especially on the far side.
