Was a fantastic evening of kiting last night. Arrived at 7:30 as Jared was self launching his machine(17m??). Got out at 8 and rode the smoothest wind and water conditions ever. Nice and warm. Dean showed up at sunset and launched his 12m. He said he was slightly underpowered but looked like he was doing just fine. He even rode inside the marina. We came in at 10 pm. Not kidding. Well worth the drive. Didn't make it home till midnight. more please.

Love that working man's wind: load the car and hit the road at 6pm, sail till dark and enjoy the sunset too. Jason called it yesterday but I had plans, (gotta get over those plans). Provo boat harbor looks like it went pretty good at the after dinner session too. Tough launch for the kites but tons of room for windsurfers and it's a lot less driving. This afternoon/evening shows potential again. ChipR? Alvin? John D?

sorry chipr, didn't see your post until tonight. yeah, you can get a fun ticket at the gate. today there was a hottie manning checkpoint charlie but it's a gamble who will be there at any one time. in case you were wondering, it was good enough for me to rig a 5.4 but, somewhat uncharacteristically, it petered out instead of building into the evening the way i had hoped. guess i got a little greedy but it was there for a while. probably for the best since my rig made one of those popping noises while i was pumping onto a port plane at one point. maybe it's time to retire the NPwave mast for a POWEREX skinny. ps. Alvin made a rare showing.
