Was hoping for some wind but seeing 27 gusting 33 at 6:00 blew me away. Sailed 8:30 to 11:15 with the wind meter averaging 29G34 (it’s cool to be able to download wind meter data to Excel). Normally that would be 3.7 for me on a 75L board but Grantsville’s meter gets more wind than on the water. I am glad I changed my mind on the 5.2 and went to the 4.7. I could barely handle the peak blasts with the 86 L iSonic. Mike E joined me with a 4.9 but with the 100M board it was a bit much for him. Definitely didn’t have to worry about staying upwind today. Wild screaming reaches and white knuckle jibes, plenty of adrenaline today. Used summer suit, probably the last time for that. It looked like they are slowing down how much they are pumping out.

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.
