Beautiful day at Sulphur with the thunderclouds visible over the Uintas, then audible as they moved northeast, but it stayed away from the lake and sailing was on. Water is totally temperate. Swam happily in the middle in my shorty, not cold at all. And the lake is even higher than 3 weeks ago, wow.
Intermittent planers from 3:00 on thru 7:00 when we left. Lots of lulls in between, along with some oddball north winds about 3:30 or so. Settled down to WNW about 4:00 and we got some nice rides. Died at 5:30, then started again out of the north. Pretty good whitecaps out of the north when we took off - the front had arrived. (Also noticed just now that Grantsville had some 18-20 out of the north this afternoon.) Combined with a liquor store stop, the sailing was totally worth the drive!
