Little Dell: nice place to nap

It didn't blow downslope at all during the night at my home in the Aves. Even at 7:00 AM, Red Butte Canyon was still quiet. But as it started to pick up at 8:00, I headed to LD to check out the forecast Easterlies. The guard shack was unattended, and several fisherfolk were already hard at it. A light breeze was coming down the lake from the East. I finished my iced tea and caught some zzzzzs on a picnic table, warm in the light breeze, lulled by the chatter of the ground squirrels. By 9:00 whitecaps were starting to appear. Carl appeared too, just a little later, but we watched and decided that although a few rides could be had, neither one of us wanted to go out there in a full suit in this weather. It was over by 10:00. Maybe next time...

Next time for sure. He who hesitates is lost. Just like I was Friday night when I should have had faith and gone to Provo Harbor. Today I'm crossing my fingers for Sulphur, nice and cool, ooh yeah. Hope the thunderheads mind their own business.
