rigged 9.0 and slalom but shoulda gone formula. the north push dropped from 13 to 8 the minute i hit the water around 7pm. it held steady at 8 and that's formula territory. i did manage a short planing ride at one point. hopefully jason didn't do the drive. i called to warn him that it was sailor beware. 5-7pm would have been good. live and learn.

the motorheads were whooping it up though. one guy was out hammering his twin big block cigarette back and forth in 10 minute long wide open straifes to nowhere. guess he was looking for open ocean. ( it's a long way from Provo, Brother.) you can just imagine the amount of fuel he must have to hose into his 16 cylinders every second to enjoy the sporting challenge of putting his foot down on the loud pedal. it was probably enough to finance a moderate mid east insurgency, and probably does.
